Seoul Semiconductor wins Innovation Award 2011 in the category optoelectronics & LEDs

Seoul Semiconductor (SSC), leading supplier of innovative LED technology worldwide, has won the Innovation Award 2011 of Il Sole 24 Ore and the Italian electronics magazine Selezione di Elettronica in the category Optoelectronics & LEDs Awards 2011. The award went to the Top View Level-LED 5630. With the introduction of this type SSC began to indicate the power output of the LED not only in lumens per watt (lm/W) but also in price per lumen. Thus the LED manufacturer was able to create greater transparency and investment protection for its customers and end users.
The respective winners in the individual categories are selected by the readers of the leading electronics publication in Italy by means of a vote on the website ..........it. The prize was awarded at an event on 29th September that traditionally draws a lot of attention in the industry.
"We are very pleased about this award because it shows that the Italian industry experts are convinced of the high degree of innovation of our products. This confirms once again that we are dead on target in the orientation of our company towards the customers and their satisfaction. With this positive vote for our product the experts have, moreover, rewarded that we make the performance indications for the LEDs transparent for the users“, says Manuel Zarauza, Managing Director of Seoul Semiconductor, who accepted the prize.
"Italy is one of the most important markets for electronic components. Therefore we are extremely proud that the Innovation Award 2011 is already the second award from this country: in June, SSC was given the Assodel Award 2011 in the category LED. This prize is awarded by the Italian association of electronics suppliers (Associazione Nazionale Fornitori di Elettronica)“, says Zarauza.
